Crushing and Screening / Load and Haul:Phakamisa Hard Rock Mining provides a pit-to-port solution by supplying experienced management, equipment, machinery and highly skilled operators. The company was founded by Mr. G Vermaak in 2007. Being a logistical supplier to Samancor, Eskom and Exxaro. The company soon grew from 138 side tippers that it started off with. The company also ventured from the coal to the gold industry and started in a partnership with Sibanya in 2015. Due to the Phakamisa success story the company were approached by Anglo Gold to start a project at Anglo Gold Achanti Mponeng and successfully executed the logistical requirements for Mponeng and Savuka. Phakamisa became Anglo Gold’s preferred contractor, running the SRD operations in the Carletonville and Klerksdorp regions.
Mining & Industrial Experts:Malahla Contractors is the coming together of a small group of black mining and industrial experts to provide a consolidated transport and mining service offering to the industry in South Africa. Malahla was founded in 2004, with its focus on developing mining rights and reserves. The company was founded by Mr. G Vermaak and developed into a black entrepreneurial business servicing Exxaro from March 2022 to current. We are proud to say that it 100% managed by black male and female staff and is classified as a level 1 BBBEE contributor.
